10th Annual Benefit GALA

Karin Kajita Trio will entertain at the 2008 GALA
The Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council hosts its 10th annual benefit GALA at Shoreline Center on Friday, June 27, 5:30-9 pm, the Friday evening before the weekend Shoreline Arts Festival. This year’s timely theme is “Green: Art and the Environment.” Art, dinner, auctions and entertainment headline this fabulous fundraising event which provides support for our community programs and Arts for Kids – specifically our Children's Performance Series, Artists-in-Residence program in the schools, August Arts Camp, and Scholarships program.
GALA attendees will start the evening with Northwest wines, a small silent auction and an exclusive preview and pre-sale of the Arts Festival juried art shows, followed by a sit-down dinner, dessert and live auctions, with light musical entertainment throughout the evening by the Karin Kajita Trio.
The GALA is a fundraiser, of course, so in addition to the opportunity to bid on such items as a Holland America cruise, relaxing get-aways, signed sports memorabilia, gourmet dinners, art studio immersion experiences, and other once in a lifetime opportunities, there will be a chance to “Raise the Paddle” to make a direct donation for Arts for Kids.
Tickets are $70 per person or $550 for a table of eight, and are available by calling our office at 206-417-4645.
The GALA is a not-to-be-missed event and a great way to celebrate summer in style while supporting a very worthy cause. The Arts Council is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization and all contributions are tax-deductible as the law allows.
